Join the McGill Perspectives on Global Health Editorial Board for 2026–2027

Are you passionate about global health and equity? Interested in writing or helping bring greater attention to stories that deserve to be heard? Looking forward to connecting with like-minded people?

This post is for you! McGill Perspectives on Global Health is recruiting members for its 2026–2027 Editorial Board. We are looking for motivated students who want to contribute to accessible conversations on global health!

Applications are open until September 27, 2026.

Editorial Board members will work collaboratively from October 2026 to May 2027. All positions are volunteer-based and involve primarily remote work and meetings, with occasional in-person meetings and events. Estimated commitment: 2–3 hours/week.

Available Positions

Social Media Coordinator — 1 position
Manage Perspectives social media accounts; promote new publications; and identify relevant initiatives to feature. Familiarity with Canva is an asset.

Graphic Designer — 1 position
Contribute to the visual identity of Perspectives, including the website and social media content, while helping maintain a consistent style across publications. We currently use Squarespace for the website and Mailchimp for our newsletter; previous experience with these platforms is helpful but not required.

Editors — 2 positions
Review and edit submitted pieces, communicate with authors, coordinate publication schedules with the Editor-in-Chief, and contribute original editorial content. Editors will play a central role in maintaining the quality and consistency of the publication.

Health Reporters — 2 positions
Identify captivating global health stories and develop original pieces for the publication. Reporters may interview students, faculty, staff, community members, researchers, and other experts, while building connections with initiatives both within and beyond the McGill community.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome applicants from different academic, professional, cultural, and disciplinary backgrounds. You do not need to be a global health expert to contribute! If you are curious to discover the world of global health and want to contribute to “making the world a little less overwhelming”, you are very welcome to apply!
